Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux announced today that it has signed an area development agreement with accomplished franchisor Robert Forrest to introduce the award-winning restaurant to the “Hostess City of the South!”
Forrest joins the Walk-On’s family with 20 years of industry experience as a co-investor in several popular Atlanta-based brands – including a brewery and barbecue concept. Forrest plans to open the first Savannah-area Walk-On’s restaurant in Pooler.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Robert to the Walk-On’s family and have him join our winning team as a franchisee,” says Walk-On’s Chief Operating Officer and President Scott Taylor. “We’re excited to share Walk-On’s Taste of Louisiana across the country and break into the thriving city of Savannah. We look forward to working alongside Robert, and we’re confident his experience in the Georgia restaurant market will drive success across the state following his Pooler opening.”
Projected to open in early 2023, Walk-On’s first Savannah restaurant will offer a unique dining experience for guests. Sitting right off of a local lake, fans will be able to watch their favorite games with a scenic view all while enjoying fresh Louisiana cuisine.

At Walk-On’s, each dish is made from scratch, using fresh ingredients to bring its mouthwatering, Louisiana cuisine to life. The diverse menu features unique twists on game-day staples and upscale takes on Louisiana mainstays, such as Crawfish Etouffee, Duck & Andouille Gumbo and Krispy Kreme Donut Bread Pudding.
