Virtual Dining Concepts is launching two new celebrity-driven virtual restaurant brands: Mario’s Tortas Lopez and Pauly D’s Italian Subs. Exclusively on Grubhub, both are available for any independent and chain restaurants interested in generating incremental revenue by adding virtual brands to their existing kitchen.

With the challenges facing restaurateurs today, most markedly the drastic decrease in in-restaurant dining, virtual restaurant brands offer restaurant operators a lifeline—the ability to increase revenue while maintaining their core business. Virtual brands offer restaurant owners independent, delivery-only food brands that leverage their existing kitchens, staff, and equipment. This not only brings added revenue to the business, but also supports their employees and the entire food ecosystem.

With the added impact of celebrity ownership, Mario’s Tortas Lopez and Pauly D’s Italian Subs give restaurants the ability to attract new customers and increase sales, many of which have found they’re able to handle additional volume due to the downturn in business. The celebrity involvement, combined with the strength of Grubhub’s vast delivery network, positions these brands to take off running when they reach the market.

“There’s no question that it’s been an incredibly challenging year for restaurants. With the launch of new virtual concepts, we’re excited to partner with VDC and bring new, exclusive opportunities to our restaurant network,” says Kevin Kearns, Senior Vice President, Restaurant Network at Grubhub. “These concepts will not only help drive additional revenue now, helping in the current state of the industry, but also down the line when we start seeing the country fully reopen.”

Virtual Dining Concepts launched its first celebrity-owned brand, Tyga Bites, with hip-hop artist Tyga this past summer after the successful launch of its first virtual brand, Wing Squad, in February 2020.

“The power of celebrity Virtual Dining Concepts provides is an added value for restaurateurs across the country,” says Robert Earl, co-founder of Virtual Dining Concepts. “Similar to Tyga, Mario Lopez and DJ Pauly D come in as partners, playing an active role in marketing and promoting their brands to their millions of followers, driving revenue to the restaurants.”

As part of each brand, Virtual Dining Concepts will provide all necessary packaging, food ingredients, and will build and manage the menu listing on Grubhub.
