May is a month of celebration honoring local heroes for their roles in making America a wonderful place to live. UNO's lives by a credo of "We Care".
We're doing our part to celebrate those who educate, care, and protect the rest of us. Each week during the month of May, we will honor these local heroes with a 15 percent discount.
"Throughout the month of May, we'll open our doors wide to show our appreciation to those people who help improve our lives and keep us safe each and every day," says Frank Guidara, CEO of UNO's and a veteran.
"Sometimes, it's just the right thing to do to honor those who do the real work of teaching us, and protecting our health, safety, and freedom."
UNO's appreciation week celebrations will expand upon select national appreciation weeks in May as follows:
- Teacher Appreciation Week – 4/30/12 through 5/4/12
- Medical Professionals – 5/7/12 through 5/11/12
- Police and Dispatchers – 5/14/12 through 5/18/12
- EMS and Firefighters – 5/21/12 through 5/25/12
- Military – 5/28/12 through 6/1/12
During these weeks, each group will receive 15 percent off their check (not including alcohol) during a specified week (Monday – Friday only) when they show identification (examples: badges, business cards, uniforms, etc.).
"We do our best to live by the credo 'We Care,'" Guidara says.
"It's just one more expression of our hospitality – the way we want to treat everyone we come in contact with – whether in our restaurants or in the community."
