TriMark USA Acquires Strategic Equipment and Supply Co.

TriMark USA, LLC president & CEO, Jerry Hyman, announced March 29 the acquisition of Strategic Equipment and Supply Corporation headquartered in Coppell, Texas.

“I am happy to welcome Strategic Equipment and Supply Corporation and their 450 employees to the TriMark family,” Hyman says. “This acquisition strengthens TriMark’s position with key customer segments and extends our reach into Texas, Florida, and Minnesota. It also expands our capabilities to include equipment leasing and repair services, as well as opens the door to a new market segment, grocery store chains.”

Strategic Equipment and Supply Corporation was originally formed in 2000 through the merger of six equipment and supply distributors, all of whom had previously been closely held, and in most cases, second-generation family businesses. The company has become a leader in the foodservice industry by delivering customized solutions for customers across the foodservice spectrum with a high level of service, passion, integrity, innovation, and consistency.

“This is a very exciting day for our employees and especially our customers,” says strategic president Marty Monnat. “We are combining the resources of two great companies that are highly regarded nationally and at the local level.”

The acquisition of Strategic Equipment and Supply Corporation positions TriMark USA as the nation’s largest foodservice equipment and supply distributor with reported revenue in excess of $850 million, 1,450 employees, and 26 physical locations.

“We have a lot in common with TriMark, so this is a great fit for us culturally,” Monnat adds. “We share the same values and principles; how we serve our customers, how we treat our employees, and how we strive to be the very best in the business.”

Marty Monnat will serve as the president of TriMark Strategic and continue to oversee their 12 sales and distribution locations concentrated primarily throughout the Midwest and Southeast.
