Toasted Yolk Sets July 17 Opening Date in Addison, Texas

The Toasted Yolk will open its newest restaurant on Monday, July 17 in Addison, Texas.

The new restaurant is located at 4580 Belt Line Rd. at the site of the former Remington’s Seafood Grill. The building will feature indoor and outdoor seating, including a patio that seats 44. The café will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Toasted Yolk serves its unique breakfast and lunch specialties, as well as its boozy brunch cocktails that can be enjoyed at the full-sized bar or on the patio. The menus offer meals that can be savored throughout the day, allowing diners to enjoy egg specialties and coffee in the morning, boozy cocktails and savory pancakes at brunch, and a variety of delicious salads, sandwiches and soups during lunchtime.

The new restaurant will be owned by Garland residents Rex and Maricela Heckelman. Rex Heckelman has spent more than 40 years in the restaurant industry. He began his career working in management at Luby’s cafeteria restaurants in the 1980’s before co-founding WingStop with Antonio Swad in 1994. Rex and Maricela Heckelman currently own and operate four Wingstop restaurants in the Dallas area.

“Residents in and around Addison will love Toasted Yolk’s wide variety of breakfast and lunch options, including our full bar featuring Bloody Mary’s and mimosas,” says Rex Heckelman. “We’ll have a fun, festive décor and plenty of fresh, cooked to order entrees. It will be the hot new place to go in town.”

“We are incredibly thrilled to introduce The Toasted Yolk to the vibrant Addison community,” adds co-owner/operator Maricela Heckelman. “My husband and I believe that great food and a warm atmosphere have the power to bring people together, and we’re just that spot. We plan to get toasted at our grand opening and invite everyone to come and find their new favorite brunch spot while also supporting a good cause.”

The Toasted Yolk Addison restaurant will hold its grand opening on Monday, July 17. Ten percent of its opening day sales will go to Angel Flight South Central, a nonprofit that provides no-cost air transportation to patients for medical and humanitarian purposes. The restaurant will give away free donuts, sell half-priced mimosas and raffle off a chance for three customers to win free breakfast or lunch (one meal per week) for a year.

The new Toasted Yolk is located two miles from Methodist Hospital for Surgery and restaurant will offer a “Scrub Love” discount year-round. All area medical professionals in uniform or with a valid ID will receive half-off drinks, Monday through Thursday from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m.

“The Toasted Yolk will be the perfect new addition to Addison, as the town is known for its large number of restaurants and a destination place for high-quality and freshly prepared meals,” says Toasted Yolk Co-Founder Chris Milton. “Rex brings more than 40 years of experience in the restaurant industry, and he and Maricela will do a great job in operating our newest location in Addison.”
