The Toasted Yolk, a full-service eatery featuring breakfast, lunch and brunch favorites, opened its newest restaurant on April 17 in Findlay, OH. It is the first Toasted Yolk location in the state of Ohio.
The new restaurant is located at 2020 Tiffin Ave. in Findlay. The building will feature indoor and outdoor seating, including a patio that will eventually seat 26 when it opens this summer. The café will be open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The Toasted Yolk serves its unique breakfast and lunch specialties, as well as its boozy brunch cocktails that can be enjoyed at the full-sized bar or on the patio. The menus offer meals that can be savored throughout the day, allowing diners to enjoy egg specialties and coffee in the morning, boozy cocktails and savory pancakes at brunch, and a variety of delicious salads, sandwiches and soups during lunchtime.
The new restaurant will be owned by Findlay resident Doug Craig. Five years ago, Craig founded the Dougie John’s Pizza franchise with its first location in Findlay. He became attracted to the Toasted Yolk concept when his business partner brought him to the chain’s original restaurant in Conroe, Texas. They visited an additional 6-7 locations in Texas before deciding to bring the first restaurant to the state of Ohio.
“I was immediately impressed by the awesome atmosphere of the Toasted Yolk, its unique and diverse menu and its full-service bar throughout breakfast and brunch hours,” says Craig. “We’ve already had so many guests thank us for bringing this restaurant to town. That meant the world to us and is exactly why we did this. It filled a need here in Findlay.”
The Toasted Yolk Findlay restaurant held its grand opening on Monday, April 17. The restaurant donated $843 of sales from the day Hope House, a local organization that provides housing solutions, support and education for families facing homelessness. The restaurant also gave away free donuts and raffled off a chance for customers to win free breakfast or lunch (one meal per week) for a year.
“We are excited to again expand our company footprint with our new northernmost location in Ohio,” says Toasted Yolk Co-Founder Chris Milton. “Doug Craig is an experienced restaurant franchisee and independent business owner. He knows the Findlay community well and will be very involved in the operations of the restaurant.”
