TIDES Coastal Kitchen Opens in Virginia Beach

Now open, TIDES Coastal Kitchen is ready to make waves in Virginia Beach’s dining scene, with fresh, top-quality cuisine and cocktails in a fun, family-friendly setting for any occasion. Located in the Delta Hotels Virginia Beach, its waterfront space on the Chesapeake Bay makes it a prime spot for sunset views.

The all-day eatery showcases a seafood-centric menu with local roots and New England flair, paired with a beachside vibe that creates a uniquely memorable, approachable and distinctly local experience for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Comprising about 130 seats across the dining room, patio and bar, with additional private dining space available, TIDES offers the ideal atmosphere for a coastal culinary escape that’s unlike any other in the area.

TIDES celebrates the bounty of the sea through a range of tide-to-table dishes, from delectable raw-bar options like steamed lobster and local oysters to starters and sharable snacks like smoked blue fish dip, steamed PEI mussels and lump crab soup. Mains include oven-roasted whole branzino with fennel, tomato, kalamata olives, white wine and grilled lemon; squid-ink linguini with mussels, clams, shrimp, tomato, chilis and mint; and Dijon herb–crusted salmon with couscous, baby artichoke and warm lemon vinaigrette.

These are joined by several options from on land, including heirloom tomato gazpacho and steak frites, plus an expanded list of sandwiches for lunch such as jumbo crab cake sandwich with roasted tomato remoulade. For breakfast, TIDES serves elevated plates like ricotta pancakes and avocado toast, perfect for pairing with the signature bloody Mary.

The beverage selection is equally suited to the lively, beachy vibe, combining reliably refreshing favorites such as the Aperol spritz and negroni with innovative twists. Highlights include:

  • Berry Berry Bourbon – Bourbon, lemon, honey, berries, angostura bitters
  • T-Bird – Wray and Nephew Overproof Rum, Stiggins Pineapple Rum, Campari, lime, cacao bitters, orgeat
  • Umi Blossom – Japanese vodka, Japanese sake, yuzu, honey, orange flower water, tarragon

The robust drink menu is also available at the adjacent TIDES Pool Club, a world-class, poolside space with loungers and rentable cabanas. Here, sunbathers and shaders can indulge in the expertly crafted libations alongside a curated menu of snacks, salads and sandwiches.
