TAG Restaurant Group (TRG), helmed by Denver restaurateur Chef Troy Guard, kicked off this exciting series in January 2022 with his mission to raise funds to help the communities affected by the devastating January Marshall Fires with a fundraising program benefiting Boulder Community Foundation. He wanted to give other Colorado chefs the opportunity to get creative and raise funds for a charity near and dear to their hearts.
This April, the Celebrity Chef Taco Series welcomes Chef William Espiricueta from Smōk. Chef Espiricueta presents his take on the taco, the Smōk Tinga Taco. The Taco features Chicken Tinga on a Caramelo Pork Fat Tortilla with Habanero Cream Sauce, Cilantro Crema, Cabbage, and Diced Tomato. ($5.00). Chef Espiricueta’s Smōk Tinga Taco will be available April 4-17, 2022.
$1 of every taco goes towards Chef Espiricueta’s charity of choice, Boulder Relief Fund, which works closely with the Colorado government and nonprofit partners to coordinate, align resources and fill gaps to support those most impacted by the wildfires.
Last month, thanks to the Denver community, Chef Joshua Pollack’s Taco-Strami sold 650 tacos, raising $650 for Conscious Alliance.
Los Chingones’ continues their Celebrity Chef Taco Series, with proceeds from each Taco benefitting a cause chosen by that month’s guest chef. Read below for details on the next Celebrity Chef.
