SweetWater Brewing Company’s highly anticipated, renovated taproom plans to re-open on Wednesday, April 3, 2019.  The taproom will continue to be a hot destination for Atlantans to sip their favorite craft brews, but will now offer guests a chance to pair their beer of choice with executive chef Nick Anderson’s delicious new menu.

For those seeking SweetWater favorites, the drink menu will feature 24 unique beers, from their Big Hitters, the most popular SweetWater beers, to the Hatchery Series. The Woodlands series beers will be available in bottles to purchase. Brews include 420, Goin’ Coastal, Pit and Pendulum and Strawberry Wild Ale as well as the two newest additions to the SweetWater brew lineup: Mango Kush and Peach Love & Happiness. The food menu features an assortment of Shareables, Handfuls, Forkfuls, Hefty Sides and Munchies using SweetWater beer in many of the dishes.  Shareables include 420 Boiled Peanuts, Spent Grain Chicken Tamales and the Guide Bowl, a mix of PEI mussels, shallot & garlic confit, Guide Beer broth and charred toast. Sandwiches, known as Handfuls, consist of the Phatty Grilled Cheese, the Korean BBQ Philly and the Blue Cod Sandwich, a 420 EPA battered fish sandwich. Forkfuls include the Big Green Egg Beer Can Chicken and Grain Salad and the delicious ending to the meal, known as “Munchies,” includes G13 Caramel Corn, Clermont Blondie Bar and the Shake It Baby, a housemade beer ice-cream shake.

A Johnson & Wales grad, executive chef Nick Anderson brings his vast culinary expertise to SweetWater’s newest taproom expansion. With previous experience at City Winery, Canoe and Ormsby’s, a few of Chef Anderson’s favorite dishes on the menu include SweetWater products. “I want to use as much beer as possible in unique ways throughout the menu—the Spent Grain Chicken Tamale and G13 Caramel Corn are both perfect examples of unique, crowd-pleasing menu items that are sure to be a hit,” says Anderson. Utilizing local farmers is also a big priority for Anderson, who hopes to have local products delivered weekly from farms including, but not limited to, Tucker Farms, Moore Farms and Local Lands.

In addition to the food menu, guests of the taproom can look forward to a new centerpiece bar and large roll-up doors that create an indoor/outdoor patio space.  Glass windows overlook the main brewery where guests can see their favorites brews come to life in real-time. When ready to eat, guests are invited to order food at the kitchen window and enjoy it at one of the taproom’s numerous tables or at the bar.

The taproom will return to normal business hours on Wednesday’s and Thursday’s and will be adding lunch service on Friday’s, Saturday’s and Sunday’s. Taproom hours will be: Wednesday and Thursday from 4:20 p.m. to 9 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Lunch service will begin on Friday, April 5. SweetWater Brewing Company is located at 195 Ottley Dr. NE Atlanta, GA, 30324.
