Dark, white, semi, or bitter sweet, chocolat [Chä-k(ə-)lət] at anytime of the year is indulging.

MPB Agency is launching its first ever Chocolate Week in New York City from Feb. 13-19, 2012, with support from Cacao Noel. Chocolate Week satisfies every American sweet tooth and celebrates the decadent flavors of chocolate. Chocolate Week has a mission, and that is to fulfill each New Yorker’s sensory exploration and discovery of chocolate.

Various participating restaurants and their chefs in NYC will take part in Chocolate Week’s festivities. The week showcases the irresistible nature of chocolate through food and wine pairings and an innovative chocolate based dessert by participating chefs.

During Chocolate Week, the participating restaurants will offer a tasting of three chocolate desserts to each customer who purchases a two-course dinner menu.

“I’m very excited Cacao Noel was chosen as the official chocolate during chocolate week,” says Xavier Noel, president of Cacao Noel de Couverture. “Delicious chocolate dessert tastings will be created by talented chefs and I imagine many New Yorker’s won’t just stop at one participating restaurant, but dine at others during chocolate week.”

Action Against Hunger, the leader in the fight against malnutrition and provider of humanitarian efforts to some five million people, is also a partner of Chocolate Week.

Initial participating restaurants of Chocolate Week are: DB Bistro Moderne, Le Cirque, Jean-Louis Restaurant, Cercle Rouge, Serge, and Opia. The final listing is expected to reach up to 30 restaurants.
