Kevin G. Fortun, founder of Stockpot Soups and Fortun Foods, has launched a new line of products. Together with Fortun’s Finishing Touch Sauces, the products are designed to transform casual home cooking into restaurant-quality meals.

Fortun is getting back into the business in which he built the world’s largest fresh soup company, Stockpot Soups. The company sold to the Campbell Soup Company in 1998 in a historically unmatched acquisition deal within the food industry.

After taking several years off from the consumer product industry, Fortun gathered many members of his original Stockpot Soups team to create Fortun’s Finishing Touch Sauces.  International and ethnic flavors are combining with the classics.

Fresh ingredients and chef-developed recipes ensure that the full-flavored Fortun’s Finishing Touch Sauces maintain the high standards expected to accompany the Fortun name, while providing a time-saving solution for busy consumers and foodservice operators.

Moving back into the soup business was not on Fortun’s radar. Former customers had asked him to develop a quality chowder like none other.

Top quality was the only way Fortun would go; he was not going to go into the commodity soup business. Finally, “The Ultimate Soup Line” was developed.

“These are the best recipes I have made in over 30 years in the business” Fortun says. The Ultimate Gourmet 3 Clam Chowder, for example, is made with three varieties of clams—ocean, sea, and cockle. The soup is made with all fresh ingredients, like red Potatoes, onion, celery, garlic, and real cream.
