Sterno Products, the name synonymous with quality and performance in portable food warming for over 100 years, announced that its newest innovation, Sterno SpeedHeat, is now available at retail for consumers. SpeedHeat is a flameless product that allows at-home hosts to serve hot food with ease and now consumers can enjoy all of their favorite and classic holiday dishes at just the right temperature. SpeedHeat is launching at retail as a value kit containing two complete sets. The value kits contain two SpeedHeat trays and bases, four SpeedHeat packets, two spoons, two tongs and four roaster foil pans. The value kit retails for $29.99 and is available on Amazon, Walmart.com, BedBathandBeyond.com and Smart & Final stores this month.
According to new research from Sterno, 74 percent of Americans have hosted a party, dinner or gathering in the last six months.[i] The survey also found that Americans say that food is one of the most important parts of entertaining. This season, SpeedHeat makes serving food for friends and families even easier.
“For over 100 years, the science behind Sterno products hasn’t changed—a can of ethanol is lit and used to warm water-filled chafing dishes placed below food to keep it hot. This fall Sterno is introducing a new technology, SpeedHeat, which is completely flameless. The water-activated packets produce piping hot steam within seconds—a game-changer for anyone entertaining this holiday season,” says Craig Carnes, President of Sterno Products. “SpeedHeat can be set up anywhere, anytime and will help keep food at a safe, hot temperature for family and friends to enjoy this season.
SpeedHeat avoids the need for bulky equipment or open flames, providing a safe and easy solution for entertaining and serving food at home. After placing SpeedHeat in the packet tray, simply fill each packet reservoir with 10 ounces of water, then place the trays of food on top. In less than a minute, SpeedHeat will begin producing hot steam that will heat the food pans above for up to 45 minutes.
“We’re thrilled to partner with long-trusted retailers to bring SpeedHeat to store shelves and online for consumers just in time for the holidays,” adds Carnes.
