A special occasion themed recipe using fingerling potatoes can win big in Southwind Farms’ Fingerlicious recipe contest for foodservice.

The grand prize is valued at $6,000, which includes a three-day customized Idaho outdoor adventure and culinary experience (travel and lodging), a professionally produced video and $1,000 cash. Additional cash prizes range from $100 to $1,000 for other lucky winners.

The contest is open to U.S. residents who are chefs or foodservice professionals currently working in restaurants (independent or chain), K-12 schools, colleges, universities, contract operations, hotels/resorts, casinos, cruise lines, supermarket prepared foods sections, or as culinary educators.

Recipes will be judged on the basis of presentation, flavor, and originality.

Southwind Farms is also pleased to announce that Idaho Potato Commission’s V.P. of Foodservice, Don Odiorne will be a guest judge for the contest.

Southwind Farms fingerling potatoes are the inspiration for an endless variety of creative recipe ideas from appetizers to entrées to desserts.

To enter, upload a recipe and photo to the contest website. The contest closes March 31, 2015. Winners will be announced April 30, 2015.
