The Southern Women’s Show, the North Carolina Triangle’s most eventful shopping and entertainment experience of the year, announces chef appearances and fun events taking place on the Food Lion Kitchen Stage April 21—23. The well-known supermarket makes its Southern Women’s Show events both interactive and delicious through a variety of presentations, challenges and games for all attendees to enjoy.
The Food Lion Kitchen Stage will include an impressive chef line up, entertaining demonstrations and cooking challenges creating meals using audience-chosen ingredients from the Food Lion Pantry.
Sharing wholesome insights, tips and expertise at this year’s Food Lion Kitchen Stage are:
Jenny Brule, a classically trained chef, food writer and restaurant consultant. Jenny has several national article features and is regularly featured on NBC and ABC programming in North and South Carolina.
Lisa Brooks, a certified culinarian by the American Culinary Federation, who grew up in the kitchen cooking typical southern foods and runs her own chef service in Charlotte, N.C. She recently appeared on Guy’s Grocery Games on The Food Network.
Monica Smith, a former chef competitor on The Food Network’s Cutthroat Kitchen and Chef Jeff Henderson’s Flip My Food. Monica is passionate about farm-to-fork food and enjoys incorporating that approach into her classic southern dishes. She will soon begin touring with comedian Tone-X for the new show Comedy and Cuisine.
Bruce Rowland, executive chef and gourmet restaurant owner. He is one of Richmond’s top chefs in the fine dining market. Bruce is a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York.
Also during this year’s Southern Women’s Show, guests can taste-test recipes, play the “Food Lion Face Off” game with emcee Angela Ray, take a memorable photo and sample a variety of products from the Food Lion family of brands.
The Southern Women’s Show runs Friday, April 21, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, April 22, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 23, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at a discounted price of $10 online or $8 at local Walgreens stores starting March 21.
