Sonoma Cider, the fast-growing artisan brand in the exploding hard cider category, rapidly gaining a reputation for its certified organic ingredients and innovative flavors, announces new distributor agreements that will expand the brand’s reach in Alaska, Arkansas, and Tennessee.

Founded in 2013 by a father-son team, David and Robert Cordtz, Sonoma Cider has been earning high praise from critics and consumers alike. Over the past few years, the brand has been a staple in the winner’s circle at various top competitions across the country, including being named the 2015 Cider Producer of the Year at the New York International Beer Competition.

The following recent and upcoming partnerships give Sonoma Cider distribution in a total of 28 states in the U.S.:

Specialty Imports, Inc., Alaska's premier importer and distributor of fine wine, beer and spirits since 1979, added Sonoma Cider to their portfolio in February 2016. With offices in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau and Kenai, Sonoma Cider sales have grown quickly in the last few months state-wide.

Arkansas Craft Distributors, the state’s only distributor dedicated to craft beer and beverages, is dedicated to building strong relationships with their accounts. Sonoma Cider, the first cider to be represented by the company, launched with Arkansas Craft Distributors in January 2016 and is building a strong following throughout the state.

Carter Distributing is a third generation family-run business based out of Chattanooga, Tennessee. To date, they serve over 1,200 accounts in this area and will be adding Sonoma Cider at the end of April 2016.

Ajax Distributing Company’s headquarters are located in Clarksville, the fifth largest city in Tennessee as well as the fastest growing city in the state. This family owned and operated company will be adding Sonoma Cider to its distribution list in early May 2016.

As Barboro has distribution channels in the Memphis area and will be launching Sonoma Cider in early May 2016.

DET Distributing, founded in 1951, is one of Tennessee’s largest beverage distributor, with locations in the cities of Nashville and Jackson. Sonoma Cider will be available through DET Distributing mid-April 2016.

Hard Cider continues to be a growing segment in the beverage industry, experiencing close to a 10 percent increase from 2014 to 2015. In addition, the majority of the country’s larger distributors have now added at least one cider brand to their portfolio. Sonoma Cider produced over 100,000 cases in 2015 and shows no signs of slowing down in 2016. Overall, if cider sales continue to grow at a 10 percent pace, the total number of cases sold in the U.S. will be more than 31.1 million in 2016.

Sonoma Cider offers four, award-winning “Core Ciders” which are available year-round. This includes the signature, apple cider “The Hatchet,” pear-based “The Pitchfork,” bourbon-flavored “The Anvil,” and sarsaparilla-vanilla “The Washboard.” Sonoma Cider also offers other unique flavors through the “Limited Run” series and “Cidermaker Reserve” series.
