Known across the globe as “America’s Steakhouse,” Smith & Wollensky has officially opened its new, two-story restaurant in the heart of Burlington. Located along the Middlesex Turnpike, the restaurant brings high-end dining, exceptional quality and top-tier service to the bustling area. The new restaurant further cements Smith & Wollensky’s presence in Greater Boston, as a leader in the hospitality industry and as a growing brand. This eagerly awaited opening is the second Burlington restaurant for Smith & Wollensky’s parent company, PPX Hospitality Brands, who re-opened a newly renovated Legal Sea Foods at The Burlington Mall in March 2023.
"We are thrilled to continue growing our brand in this market and further establish our presence in Burlington," says General Manager, Steve Gledhill. "Connecting with, and creating long lasting relationships with the local businesses and thriving residential community is what fuels us to deliver exceptional service, signature steaks and premium seafood. We can’t wait to welcome and serve you.”
The Burlington restaurant features expansive dining rooms on two levels, a large horseshoe-shaped bar on the main floor, an upper-level indoor-outdoor bar, private event spaces, and outdoor patio dining on both levels. Designed to accommodate large parties, the interiors’ plush leather chairs, comfortable banquette seating, multiple round power-booths, and intimate seating areas create a stylish, welcoming atmosphere for groups of all sizes. Additional design elements include wide-plank oak flooring, signature green & white tiling, custom brass light fixtures, and rich oak wainscotting – all paying homage to the classic Smith & Wollensky aesthetic, updated with a modern look.
“After personally opening Smith & Wollensky London in 2015, the Burlington restaurant’s design is an evolution of our journey across the pond. Many of the materials and interior elements seen throughout the restaurant were sourced across the globe,” says Smith & Wollensky Brand President and Former London Managing Partner, Nathan Evans. “From the beautiful green quartzite bar top, the ultra-elegant light fixtures from Ralph Lauren and Eichholtz and the world-class collection of art create the perfect ambience for memorable dining experiences.”
In addition to Smith & Wollensky’s signature menu of USDA Prime aged-steaks, premium seafood and signature Liquid Assets, the restaurant has debuted a curated Caviar & Bubbles experience. Developed in partnership with Paramount Caviar and several premium wine partners, the menu offers guests the highest quality salt-cured roe from sustainably farm-raised sturgeon. The entire experience is guaranteed to elevate the taste buds to new levels of indulgence and is paired perfectly with a curated selection of sparkling wines and Champagnes offered by the glass or by the bottle.
“Opulence knows no bounds at Smith & Wollensky so we are very excited to launch this curated menu of Caviar & Bubbles,” says Christian Gianaris, National Beverage Director, PPX Hospitality Brands. “This addition to our experience exemplifies our unwavering commitment to sourcing only the highest quality ingredients, unique presentations and elevated service that transcends the ordinary.”
Known as America’s Steakhouse, the restaurant boasts an unrivaled menu of USDA Prime dry-aged steaks sourced by the restaurant’s partners at Double R Ranch and Snake River Farms. Each steak is expertly hand-butchered in house and char-broiled to perfection and to desired doneness. Signature cuts include the iconic 44 oz. Swinging Tomahawk American Wagyu bone-in ribeye and Long Bone American Wagyu filet. The menu also features fresh, premium seafood, signature starters and sides, and craveworthy desserts like a Gigantic Chocolate Cake and Baked Alaska. The wine list is extensive and features a diverse selection of vintages from around the world as well as proprietary wines like the S&W 100% Rutherford Cabernet.
“We are so thrilled to introduce the Smith & Wollensky brand to the residents, businesses and visitors of Burlington and beyond. We pride ourselves on creating more than just a meal, but an experience and an opportunity to create lasting memories,” says PPX Senior Director of Culinary, Brian Doyle. “We are passionate for exceptional quality which is proven with each bite.”
Smith & Wollensky recently celebrated 45 years of excellence and has no plans for slowing down. The original Smith & Wollensky location opened in 1977 in New York City and has since become an institution known for its American hospitality and high-quality USDA Prime steaks, butchered and dry-aged on premise. The restaurant brand is proud to be the only national steakhouse brand devoted to dry-aging and hand-carving all its steaks in house.
Smith & Wollensky Burlington is open for lunch and dinner Sunday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. - 10:00 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 11:30 a.m. - 11:00 p.m.
