The 12th Annual Washington State Wine Awards honored Schwartz Brothers Restaurants on January 27 with several award recognitions for their outstanding commitment and support for Washington wine.

A committee of wine industry grape growers, wine producers and influential members selected Schwartz Brothers Restaurants as the “Restaurant Group of the Year” award winner out of 100 nomination entries. The judging criteria was based on a restaurant’s wine list, wine service, staff training, wine dinner events, and merchandising, including pairing a Washington wine with a menu item. These components helped build the dynamic role Schwartz Brothers Restaurants play as a preferred destination for wine lovers and enthusiasts.

“Receiving several of these prestigious awards is a great accomplishment for Schwartz Brothers, and we can’t thank everyone enough for their kind nominations,” says Lindsey Schwartz, president and CEO of Schwartz Brothers Restaurants. “Our staff is very passionate about Washington wine, and their dedication and hard work clearly shows!”

Individual restaurants of Schwartz Brothers Restaurants were recognized as well, including Daniel’s Broiler-Bellevue, winning the “Grand Award” for its eighth year since 2007. Chandler’s Crabhouse and Spazzo Italian Grill and Wine Bar were each recognized with “Awards of Distinction.”
