This year, the 5th of May presents two reasons to celebrate Cinco de Mayo and the 138th Kentucky Derby. Ruth’s Chris Steak House recently created its Vintage Cocktail menu, which features new classics, like the Derby Peach Tea, alongside old favorites, like La Paloma.

The menu offers the ultimate experience in handcrafted cocktails whether the night calls for a south-of-the-border classic or a Southern-inspired drink. La Paloma is known as one of the most popular tequila-based cocktails in Mexico and is now making its mark far and wide.

“Our version of La Paloma is the perfect combination of sweet and citrus,” says Helen Mackey, Ruth’s Chris Steak House director of beverage strategy. “We combine Patron Silver 100 percent Agave Tequila, freshly squeezed lime, ruby red grapefruit juices, and top the refreshing cocktail with an edible flower.”

Derby days are also here and what better way to cheer on the race than with a thoroughbred cocktail like the Derby Peach Tea. This Ruth’s Chris Steak House original is made with Bulleit Kentucky straight bourbon, Monin peach puree, freshly brewed iced tea, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and mint leaves.
