Restaurant CIOs announced the addition of Darla Morse to its team of collaborating chief information officers. Morse joins a team of top restaurant leaders who provide CIO-as-a-service capabilities to the restaurant industry. Morse brings decades of strategic technology leadership, with expertise at multinational restaurants and hospitality brands, including CIO roles at CKE Restaurants, Inspire Brands, and Sea World.
“At a time when disruption is touching all aspects of restaurant operations, a strategic approach to technology can help brands remain viable and profitable,” says Joe Tenczar, Restaurant CIOs co-founder. “Our mission is to help restaurants succeed in IT and business strategy through access to the collective expertise of our renowned CIO bench,” which includes experienced leaders from such brands as Pizza Hut, Sonic, Dairy Queen, Jack in the Box, BJ Brewhouse, Hard Rock, and others. "Darla's role as a leader in this industry helps Restaurant CIOs further that mission, and we are honored to have her join the team," adds Tenczar.
Morse's extensive expertise in areas such as technology roadmapping, IT leadership development, digital innovation, and overall strategic leadership is now available to support the growth goals of mid-market restaurants.
“Restaurant CIOs has such a strong reputation in the restaurant industry, and I can’t wait to work alongside the peers whom I’ve known for years,” Morse says. “Now more than ever, restaurants are looking for ways to navigate new digital channels and effectively utilize all of the information they now have. I am ready to dig in and help the industry that has been so good to me.”
Most recently, Morse served as CKE Restaurants (Carl’s Jr & Hardee’s) Chief Information Officer. Darla has also served as CIO to Inspire Brands (Arby’s, Sonic, Buffalo Wild Wings, and more), and Sea World. Prior to this, she served as Vice President, Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products.
