Red Robin Foundation, Manitowoc Aid Aurora Victims

Manitowoc Foodservice has donated $1,000 to the Red Robin Foundation, a public charity that provides donors the opportunity to be kind to their neighbors, and an additional $1,000 to the "In Memory of Alex 'Sully' Sullivan" donation fund.

Sullivan, who lost his life at the "The Dark Knight Rises" movie premiere shooting on July 20 in Aurora, Colorado, was one of the eight Aurora Red Robin Gourmet Burgers Inc. team members injured. The other seven are recovering from their injuries.

Donations received from the Red Robin Foundation will be used for needs of the Red Robin's eight team members such as medical bills or lost wages. Manitowoc Foodservice president Mike Kachmer also sent a company-wide email telling employees how they could make individual donations to the victims.

“Manitowoc Foodservice is a long-time equipment partner of Red Robin, and our team has worked on many occasions with members of the Red Robin team around the country. Through these interactions, we feel a special kindred spirit with all Red Robin team members, and we offer our sympathies and best wishes for those who have been involved in and affected by this tragedy,” Kachmer says.
