The RAM Restaurant Group was honored this past weekend with two gold medals, including one for their flagship Hometown Blonde at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver. The RAM has participated in this prestigious competition for 20 years and these medals are the 47th and 48th the brewers have won.

Brewer Bill Jenkins of the Northgate RAM Brewery location, captured hearts and a third GABF gold with the Hometown Blonde. “My first medal was twenty years ago, but it’s still as exciting today, especially with a flagship beer that is a go-to for many of our guests. Given the growth of the industry and overall quality of beer these days it’s a true honor to be awarded so highly at GABF,” says Jenkins. The Hometown Blonde is a crisp and refreshing brew, with notes of honey, malt and citrus, and is available year-round at all RAM locations.

The bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout, Chaos won a gold medal in the Chocolate Beer category. Brewer Shaun Berns, out of the Schaumberg, IL brewery location, aged his blend on Cocoa Nibs to add complexity to an already complex beer and to win over the GABF judges. “Winning a GABF medal is the ultimate honor to have in the beer industry. It’s a testament to the quality and passion between beer enthusiasts and industry people alike,” Berns adds.
