Russian River Valley-based Raeburn Winery announced the launch of its inaugural Rosé wine, a blend of Zinfandel, Pinot Noir, and Grenache. The 2018 Rosé is the latest addition to the Raeburn portfolio, joining their Pinot Noir and a widely popular Chardonnay that was named among the top-ten best-selling ultra-premium Chardonnays in the country.

Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley, the well-known growing region that is home to some of the world’s best Pinot Noir, is where Raeburn winemaker Joe Tapparo carefully selected vineyards to source grapes for the wine. Tapparo crafted the 2018 Rosé in the Provençal style, resulting in a light salmon hue with elegant floral and raspberry aromas. The palate brings lush flavors of strawberry and guava and a bright, natural acidity.

Part of the Purple Wine + Spirits family of brands, Raeburn Winery is committed to delivering expressive, handcrafted wines, and the 2018 Rosé is no exception. “With the popularity of Rosé growing consistently over the past three years, we felt it was time to craft our own, using our exceptional Pinot Noir and other quality red grapes that grow in the Russian River Valley,” states Barry Sheridan, Chief Marketing Officer of Purple Wine + Spirits. “We’re proud to join this burgeoning category with a Rosé that demonstrates the quintessential flavors of our home in Sonoma County.”

The 2018 Raeburn Rosé has a suggested retail price of $19.99 and is available throughout the country in major retailers.
