The casual-dining franchise Quaker Steak & Lube, known for its Best Wings USA and more than 20 sauces, announced today a special promotion to celebrate National Chicken Wing Day on July 29. Guests who donate a non-perishable item from July 22 through July 29 will receive a voucher for a free sprinster (6 piece) of wings valid for redemption on National Chicken Wing Day.

“Quaker Steak & Lube’s National Chicken Wing Day promotion is a unique opportunity for us to give back to our loyal Lubies while they give back to their communities,” says John Longstreet, president and chief executive officer, Quaker Steak & Lube. “We are thrilled to offer our guests free Award-Winning Chicken Wings while also being able to support local charities.”

This is the first year the company has run this promotion. Since it’s inception, Quaker Steak & Lube has sold more than one billion wings. To date, the most popular flavor is the Louisiana Lickers sauce, which tastes like a hot cajun garlic barbeque mix.

The compelling décor, including race cars suspended from the ceilings, motorcycles, Corvettes, and gas station memorabilia, combined with its craveable food and SuperCharged events, has created a cult-like following for The Lube for more than 38 years. The company experienced significant growth in 2012 with 11 restaurant openings, a 22 percent increase from the previous year and a 13 percent increase in system wide revenues. The company has nearly 60 locations to date, and began its Texas Takeover with three openings in Waco, Carrollton, and Plano.
