Earlier this month, PPX Hospitality Brands kicked off its new fiscal year by hosting a leadership conference at The Lenox Hotel in Boston, something the company plans to do each year moving forward.  The partnership between PPX, The Lenox Hotel, and the many conference sponsors symbolizes the return of hospitality to Boston and beyond. Founding sponsors included Boston-area partners North Coast Seafoods, Martignetti Companies, TriMark and MS Walker, beside several national suppliers like Prime Food Distributor and Snake River Farms.

The inaugural conference marked a full year since New England-based Legal Sea Foods was acquired by PPX Hospitality, joining iconic brands Smith & Wollensky and Strega Italiano. The conference was attended by various leadership teams including managing partners, general managers, chefs, and sales managers from across the country (and across the pond!), along with corporate directors, senior leadership, and the company’s owners.   All together in person for the first time since the pandemic, these leaders celebrated and collaborated to define and discuss PPX’s strategy and vision for the year ahead.

“Coming together to celebrate everything we’ve accomplished over the past year and planning for the future ahead was an invigorating time for our organization and its partners, especially considering the challenges our industry has faced the past two years,” says Kim Lapine, CMO, PPX Hospitality Brands.  “Our teams at Smith & Wollensky, Legal Sea Foods, and Strega Italiano have been collaborative and innovative as we aggressively build upon the cornerstone of our brands.  We were fortunate to have so many strong minds in one place, because at PPX, it’s all about the people.”

As the hospitality industry continues to evolve beyond the pandemic, this year’s conference was focused on renewal as PPX reimagines its approach to both business and hospitality, with a commitment to its people, facilities, and the guest experience. Over the course of two days, the teams heard from various department heads and learned about development progress, financials, marketing plans, culinary and beverage trends, new benefits and more. The content and strategic planning will shape the fiscal year ahead and beyond.

“I am so proud of  the team’s  accomplishments over the past two years. Our group of world-class dining destinations have built an exceptional platform by investing in quality people, top-notch culinary excellence and outstanding service as the PPX standard across all brands. My thanks to The Lenox Hotel team who understood our passion and helped us produce an outstanding event.  I feel confident that there are great things ahead for us in the years to come,” says Oliver Munday, Chief Executive Officer at PPX Hospitality.

In addition to PPX Hospitality’s appreciation to the Lenox Hotel and its Founding Sponsors, the company also thanks over 50 additional Event Sponsors for their support, partnership, and participation throughout the entire leadership program.
