Polly’s Pies, the popular family-owned restaurant group, is once again saluting the active military stationed at Camp Pendleton this year with its “Pie for the People” initiative.

From May 26 through the Fourth of July, Polly’s will be selling its “Pie for the People,” which equals a $17.49 pie donation. With these donations, Polly’s will donate whole pies and coordinate with various platoons, including Team Darkhorse – the nickname given to the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division based at Camp Pendleton – to deliver the pies for various military events throughout the year.

“One of our pillars at Polly’s is to honor the men and women who serve our country,” says Director of Brand Jacklyn Mitosinka. “Through our ‘Pie for the People’ initiative, we hope to show our gratitude and support for the sacrifices made by our military personnel stationed at Camp Pendleton. We’re thrilled to work with Team Darkhorse once again to bring smiles to the faces of these brave men and women.”

Last year, the non-profit initiative aimed to donate 1,000 pies, ultimately surpassing its goal by donating over 1,300 pies to marines stationed at Camp Pendleton. To further cement its support to the military community, Polly’s Pies is hoping to donate 2,000 pies through the “Pie for the People” initiative this year.

Guests who donate a pie for the military can also treat themselves to a pie, including the limited-time apple pies that feature pie-crust baked stars to commemorate Independence Day, available Fourth of July weekend.

To purchase a “Pie for the People”, visit pollyspies.com or stop by any of Polly’s Pies’ 13 locations throughout Los Angeles, Orange and Riverside Counties. Those who wish to support the cause can also donate online.
