P.J.W. Restaurant Group announced their partnership for the sixth year in the CBS3 and CW Philly “Change the Luck of a Child” Telethon Shamrock Fundraiser benefitting benefitting Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of the Philadelphia Region, Inc. In 2016, the group’s P.J. Whelihan’s and Pour House restaurants raised a record breaking $75,000 for children and families in their communities over the month-long campaign.

This year, from February 20 to March 19, patrons can purchase green paper shamrocks for $1, $3, or $5, or a paper pot of gold for $25 or more to be on display in the restaurant. In addition, this year Tito’s Vodka has joined the cause and will donate $1 for every Tito’s drink purchased (up to $10,000) at P.J. Whelihan’s or Pour House locations during the promotion. Locally, RMHC supports many programs that benefit the health and well-being of children including four Ronald McDonald Houses, whose mission is to keep families close while their children are receiving critical care and treatment at nearby hospitals.

On Friday, March 10, WIP Radio’s DeCamera & Ritchie will broadcast live from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at P.J. Whelihan’s in Cherry Hill, NJ at 1854 Marlton Pike East. Supporters are invited to raise funds with the chance to spin a prize wheel and win with each donation of a $25 or more pot of gold.

The campaign culminates with a 14-hour on-air telethon Tuesday, March 28 hosted by CBS3 and CW Philly where presenting sponsor P.J.W. Restaurant Group will present their final check to RMHC.

“It is a highlight of our year to participate in the shamrock fundraiser,” says Jim Fris, chief operating officer of P.J.W. Restaurant Group. “Our staff rallies behind the cause and it is inspiring to witness the generosity of our customers as shamrocks and gold pots line the walls of our restaurants. We’re pushing to break another record this year.”
