This October, for the second year running, P.F. Chang’s aims to donate $100,000 to support breast cancer awareness and benefit the American Cancer Society. The upscale Asian-inspired restaurant will also adorn more than 300 of its iconic Warrior Horses, symbols of strength and protection, with bright, pink ribbon-shaped floral wreaths in recognition of those who have been impacted by the disease. The campaign begins September 30 with P.F. Chang’s restaurants across the country hosting kickoff events.

“Following last year’s outpouring of support for the cause from guests and employees, we’re honored to again demonstrate our commitment as we donate to the American Cancer Society,” says Michael Onsaloo, chief executive officer of P.F. Chang’s. “Everyone has a horse in this race. Our iconic Warrior Horses represent strength and protection, and by adorning them in pink floral wreaths, we reinforce our mission to help spread awareness.”

From October 1 through October 31, diners can join the fight by triggering a $1 donation via the following actions: Purchase of the Jicama Street Tacos at any U.S. P.F. Chang’s location; Share a picture in front of P.F. Chang’s iconic Warrior Horse(s) on Twitter or Instagram with #PFChangsPink, or upload a photo directly on the tab on the P.F. Chang’s Facebook page or online. Each shared picture will become part of a digital photo mosaic, signifying someone who has a horse in the race against breast cancer.

The photos will come together to create a digital mosaic of a P.F. Chang’s Warrior Horse.

In a show of nationwide support for the cause, each P.F. Chang’s location in the continental U.S. will host a kickoff event September 30 from 4 to 5 p.m. Employees, restaurant guests, local business owners, public health advocates, and other members of the community are invited to participate in adorning the restaurants’ iconic Warrior Horses with pink floral wreaths in recognition of those who have been impacted by the disease. Restaurants will hand out complimentary Jicama Street Tacos and small pink ribbons that can be dedicated to someone and added to the ribbons of hope in the restaurants. The ribbons of hope will collect and grow throughout October.

“We are grateful to partner with P.F. Chang’s this October to support breast cancer awareness,” says Daniela Campari, senior vice president, integrated marketing, American Cancer Society. “With support from customers, P.F. Chang’s donation will help us finish the fight against this terrible disease.”
