Perkins Restaurant & Bakery, the quintessential community mealtime gathering place, has announced new ownership of the Port St. Lucie location at 9202 South Federal Highway with Ardeshir “Eddy” and Farah Dastyar.

Launching their ownership in November 2021, the Dastyars are bringing more than 30 years of combined restaurant industry experience to Perkins. Eddy is a former IHOP manager from Reno, NV, joined by his wife Farah, who has worked alongside him during this time as a server and bookkeeper. After making the move cross country and with plans to open a second Perkins location in the future, the couple is thrilled to now be operating one of the only breakfast restaurants in town.

“We were immediately drawn to Perkins due to their inviting ambiance, large menu variety and delicious food at fair prices. We definitely know breakfast, and no one does it better than Perkins,” says Eddy. “Providing excellent customer service is the most important leadership characteristic to us as operators, and we look forward to continuing this same principle as we take up ownership of the beloved Perkins location in Port St. Lucie.”

Perkins restaurants have earned widespread adoration in their communities for their warm, friendly atmospheres where every conversation, sip of coffee and bite of home-cooked meals are savored. In addition to the brand’s online ordering website on PerkinsToGo.com, the recent launch of the Bakery by Perkins virtual bakery storefront helps guests at the Port St. Lucie location purchase holiday pies and treats in a flash through DoorDash and UberEats.

“Eddy and Farah’s expertise within the food service industry coupled with their long-term knowledge of the breakfast segment make them the perfect additions to the Perkins family,” says Peter Ortiz, Chief Development Officer of Perkins. “They have a proven track record of successfully managing day-to-day operations that shines through the rest, and we’re honored to be supporting Eddy and Farah as they begin their ownership journey with Perkins.”

Currently, Perkins locations are found across 32 states and Canada in a variety of traditional model formats—free-standing, end-caps, inline, travel centers and hotels, all optimized for off-premise dining and patio seating. These flexible designs allow restaurant owners to easily incorporate a Perkins restaurant location into any space, while diversifying their portfolios with a concept in the family dining segment and most importantly with a real strength in the breakfast category.
