Old Chicago, the made-from-scratch American fare and beer authority known for its World Beer Tour and 110 unique, cold beers – launched its annual Winter Mini Tour today, Wednesday, Nov. 30, to help beer lovers get in the holiday spirit.
The Winter Mini Tour – the longest Mini Tour of the year for Old Chicago’s World Beer Tour members – will run through Sunday, Jan. 1, and feature 12 specialty beers that are guaranteed to delight taste buds with rich flavors like nutmeg, vanilla, caramel, and specialty hops.
Old Chicago’s Winter Mini Tour celebrations began Wednesday, Nov. 30, with festive holiday-themed tapping parties at each of the restaurant chain’s 97 locations nationwide.
Each Old Chicago location will serve nationally recognized brands like Sam Adams Winter Lager, Sam Smith Winter Welcome Ale, Redhook Winterhook Ale, Hoegaarden Witbier, and Leinenkugel’s Fireside Nut Brown, along with other seasonal beers, including local and craft selections, which vary by location.
Notable exclusives – meaning beers that can be found only at select Old Chicago restaurants this holiday season – across the country include: Chai Coconut Porter from Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery in Minnesota; Santa Stout from Empyrean Brewing in Nebraska; and Old Chicago’s very own Old Chicago Black Diamond Porter.
Guests are encouraged to visit their local Old Chicago to learn more about the exclusive beers available at their restaurant as they will vary from location to location.

Old Chicago’s World Beer Tour members who complete the Winter Mini Tour by sampling all 12 beers will receive the highly coveted Mini Tour shirt with long sleeves for the cooler weather and a special holiday design that features a “spicy” holiday-fashioned pinup girl, presenting a giant hop and atop a caramel-colored beer.
Anyone 21 and older can sign up to become a World Beer Tour member at Old Chicago for free and register online for members-only benefits.
