Forget the tired green beer on St. Patrick’s Day. This month, Ojos Locos Sports Cantina is celebrating Tequila Awareness Month.

We love our tequila here at Ojos, so we decided to take it to the next level and create Tequila Awareness Month,” says Eric Salzer, director of operations at Ojos Locos.

We want our guests to experience all the many varieties of tequilas and try something new.”

Ojos Locos locations in Dallas, Forth Worth, San Antonio and Albuquerque, will offer shot specials featuring Patron Silver, Jose Cuervo, Sauza, Don Julio, Cazadores and the newest addition to its menu, Avion Silver.

"It’s about time that Tequila had its own month," says Cristina Valenzuela, Tequila Ambassador for Don Julio.

"I am so pleased to see that Ojos Locos is educating their patrons on tequila. I have been committed to tequila education for years and I'm proud to see others join this movement."

Texas-based Ojos Locos combines traditional Mexican plates like street-style tacos, tortas, elotes, quesadillas and enchiladas, with American fare such as hamburgers, salads, wings and fries.

Founded in 2010, Ojos Locos is a sports-themed cantina with state-of-the-art hi-def televisions that broadcast live sports throughout the day, including many soccer games that are not available at other bars. There are four locations in Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio, and Albuquerque.
