Cameron Mitchell Restaurants is thrilled to announce that its award-winning modern American supper club Ocean Prime will open its 12th location nationwide in Manhattan in spring 2015. Its first foray into New York City, Ocean Prime will be located at 123 West 52nd Street and Avenue of Americas. Serving lunch Monday through Friday and dinner nightly, Ocean Prime will offer guests prime seafood, steaks, handcrafted cocktails, and world-class wines in a captivating ambiance with signature genuine hospitality.
“After graduating from the CIA at Greystone and returning to Ohio to open my first restaurant 20 years ago, I always dreamed of opening a restaurant in New York City,” says Cameron Mitchell, founder and CEO of Cameron Mitchell Restaurants. “My passion for restaurants and the hospitality industry continues to grow each year, and I couldn’t be more proud to celebrate CMR’s 20th anniversary by bringing the Ocean Prime brand to Manhattan, the epicenter of the culinary world.”
Ocean Prime’s menu will pair the finest prime steaks with the freshest seafood and feature the highest quality ingredients in each made-from-scratch dish. The restaurant will evoke the timeless elegance of the supper club with warm woods, captivating lighting and a welcoming yet sophisticated atmosphere.
“For our first New York City location, we partnered with internationally renowned and Manhattan-based experiential design firm Icrave to create Ocean Prime’s alluring design,” says David Miller, executive vice president of Cameron Mitchell Restaurants. “Icrave also designed our Ocean Prime in Beverly Hills, Calif., which is scheduled to open this summer and will be our 11th location across the country.”
Spanning 7,400 square feet and a 2,500 square-foot mezzanine, Ocean Prime will seat more than 275 guests and feature private dining rooms to accommodate more intimate gatherings and celebrations. An expansive terrace will seat 50 guests to enjoy al fresco dining. The bar and lounge area will be a welcoming, relaxing space for guests to enjoy expertly created cocktails handcrafted by talented bar chefs, while a separate sushi bar will showcase the freshest, most delicate, and impeccably sourced fish, providing a total seafood experience.
There are 10 Ocean Prime locations currently open nationwide. The concept has been praised across the restaurant industry for its extraordinary cuisine, genuine hospitality, and sophisticated setting.
