Eschelon Experiences announced its total giving contribution of more than $77,000 to the North Carolina Triangle region in 2016. From digging in the dirt, to hosting chef dinners, donating auction items, and engaging in friendly fundraising competitions amongst the restaurants, the hospitality group worked diligently to serve up more than just food to the greater Raleigh community.
“Giving back to the community has always been an ideal rooted within the core of Eschelon Experiences,” says Gaurav “G” Patel, Eschelon Experiences’ president and founder. “As we celebrate fulfilling our social responsibility, we are reminded that there is still more work to be done. We hope to inspire members of the community to come together and join us to create a greater impact in the New Year.”
This year, Eschelon Experiences’ “Month of Giving” campaign efforts raised a record-breaking total of $31,989 for the company’s four core nonprofit partners: Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Diabetes, Raleigh City Farm, Band Together, and Hope for Haiti Foundation. After receiving their bill, guests at all of the restaurants were encouraged to contribute one dollar or more to support the nonprofit organization of the month. Mako Medical Laboratories and Modern Woodmen matched every dollar respectively during the four months of the campaign.
In addition, Eschelon Experiences supported nonprofit organizations by:
Volunteering more than 142 hours of service
Donating more than $30,200 worth of food to fundraising events
Donating more than $400 from event fundraisers
Supporting more than 90 area nonprofits through gift boxes and chef dinners valued at more than $14,200
“The drive to put purpose over profit exemplifies Eschelon Experiences in my eyes,” says Matt Strickland, executive director of Band Together. “On any given day, G and his staff could be washing vans at the Tammy Lynn Center, raising awareness and dollars for Month of Giving, or delivering world class food experiences at our Band Together events. G’s purpose is not to make money; it’s to make our community the best place to live, work, and play.”
