Posiflex, a manufacturere of POS and industrial touch terminals, announced the launch of its fan-free KS6900 series. Powered by an Intel Atom 1.8Ghz CPU, the KS6900 boasts 114 percent more performance than the popular KS6215, three-time winner of Best Product of the Year from an industry leading publication.

The KS6900 provides this additional power at an incremental cost to run more robust applications. Engineered with the most stringent tolerances, the KS6900 is liquid- and splash-resistant so it can operate in the harshest environments.

The KS6900 series, with its patented die-cast aluminum alloy housing, is able to diffuse heat efficiently to ensure maximum up-time. Being fan-free eliminates a potential point of mechanical failure and reduces energy consumption, which reduces total cost of ownership.

Posiflex carries out stringent third party HALT and HASS testing to ensure all products pass vibration stress tests, with the ability to operate in a wide range of environments and temperatures withstanding humidity.

KS6900 configuration choices include 15-inch or 17-inch screen size, infrared or resistive touch, 1 GB of DDR3 memory standard with a maximum 4 GB DDR3, six USB ports, four serial ports (2 x DB9, 2 x RJ50), RAID 1 option, and support POSReady, WinXP Pro, Win7 Pro (32or 64 bit), and Linux operating systems.

Easily adaptable and scalable across industries and applications, it also works seamlessly with all existing KS family peripherals.
