New District Sales Manager Named for HLC Inc.


The Homer Laughlin China Company (HLC, Inc.) is pleased to announce that on June 24, Deborah Gordon accepted the District Sales manager position for HLC in Northern California and Nevada.

As the first-ever District Sales Manager for this area, Deborah will be working closely with HLC’s regional representative groups to facilitate sales and spur company growth. Deborah’s previous experience in the tabletop industry, along with her extensive knowledge of HLC’s product line, have given her a solid background to support her in this new position.

Prior to joining HLC, Deborah worked as a Tabletop Specialist for Nexus, HLC’s representative group for Northern California. In this position she built a diverse client base, acting as a liaison between customer service and sales teams. As HLC’s main contact for the Nexus group, Deborah developed an in-depth knowledge of HLC’s products and customers, which resonated with HLC during the selection process.

Deborah’s experience in the industry can be traced back to her tenure at Libbey, Inc. As an Account Manager, Deborah managed an impressive portfolio of accounts and consistently exceeded sales quotas on a yearly basis. She was later promoted to New York District Manager, where she gained pertinent experience in territory management.

Throughout her career, Deborah has remained focused on driving sales, constantly looking for new ways to promote products and build professional network ties. According to Chip Halpin, vice president of the RAK-Kenilworth Division for HLC, Inc. “Deborah has been a wonderful asset to HLC in the Northern California territory for years, and we look forward to having her as part of the team.”
