NBA All-Star Tracy McGrady, in conjunction with Salt Partners Group, announced the grand opening of HomeCourt by Tracy McGrady on Wednesday, February 24. The family-friendly sports and entertainment-themed restaurant features an expertly curated food and beverage menu, an immersive golf simulator and an exciting gaming library, promising fun for the whole family. The 5,000 square-foot restaurant will open at 3615 South Florida Avenue, #1350, located in the heart of the Lakeland, Florida community at Merchant’s Walk.
“This is more than just a restaurant to me, this is a legacy,” says Tracy McGrady, NBA Hall of Famer and former Orlando Magic player. “Polk County is where I grew up, and it’s where most of my family still lives, so it’s extremely important to me that I provide a place for the community to be proud of—a place where families can come together over great food, while creating lasting memories.”
The 130-seat restaurant features a 40-seat oval bar topped with reclaimed basketball flooring, a 20-seat weather-protected patio, and a private dining room that includes an immersive golf simulator boasting a large high-tech screen and lounge area. Additionally, guests will enjoy multiple one-of-a-kind pieces of Tracy McGrady and Orlando Magic memorabilia, including exclusive jerseys, an Adidas shoe wall and never-before-seen collector’s items.
The carefully curated menu includes many dishes hand-selected by McGrady himself, including Loaded Amber Beer Chili (Tracy’s favorite chili recipe), T-Mac’s PB&J Burger and Tracy’s Cajun Pasta. Guests will choose from a large selection of chef-inspired creations, including specialty appetizers, fresh salads, creative handhelds, homestyle entrees and delectable desserts. The restaurant also features an extensive craft cocktail menu and a beer menu that features more than 35 local, national and international selections.
“HomeCourt by Tracy McGrady is a really great representation of who Tracy is as an athlete and as a person,” says Hanson Li, founder and managing partner of San Francisco-based Salt Partners Group. “The restaurant exhibits a high level of innovation, while also paying homage to the community that helped shape him into the seven-time NBA All-Star that he is today. It has been a real pleasure working with Tracy and the team to bring this restaurant concept to life, and we are thrilled to begin our journey of creating a lasting impact on the neighborhoods and people that continue to inspire Tracy each and every day.”
HomeCourt by Tracy McGrady will be open Sunday through Thursday 11am - 11pm and Friday and Saturday 11am - midnight. The restaurant will also hold special hours on game days, in addition to hosting happy hour specials Monday through Friday 4pm - 7pm.
