As a way to both thank and encourage those restaurants offering Easter carryout and delivery, and to encourage those consumers who don’t want to cook at home on Easter, Wednesday night the National Pork Board launched an #EasterToGo Instagram sweepstakes.

Consumers who:

Order an Easter meal that includes ham, pork or bacon; Post the meal on Instagram, while tagging the restaurant they ordered from and the @NationalPorkBoard IG handle, and use the #EasterToGo hashtag will be eligible to win a $100 gift card to that same restaurant (up to two winners per state). The contest will open on Saturday, April 11 and will close on Monday, April 13.

The sweepstakes will be supported by the National Pork Board through:

  • Posts and paid amplification on the National Pork Board Instagram page
  • Micro influencer involvement: The company has identified 30+ “foodie” influencers who have a concentrated local audience in key US markets. Each influencer will award one $100 gift card to their followers who participate in the contest.
  • The company has engaged the state pork associations to help amplify the promotion on their social media channels, and asked them to reach out to their state restaurant associations to share the promotion with their members.
