Multi-Unit Huddle House Franchisee Opens in Reidsville

Huddle House is continuing to prosper with its existing franchisees. One generational multi-unit operator, Robert Wiggins, Jr. is making notable development moves as he continues his family’s legacy with the brand.

Most recently, Wiggins Jr. opened the brand’s 73rd Georgia-based Huddle House restaurant in Reidsville. Conveniently located at 210 South Main Street, this milestone location marks the Wiggins family’s 4th unit to date.

“I’ve been in the restaurant business all my life, and it’s motivating to see a legacy brand like Huddle House adapt and grow with the current climate of the restaurant industry,” says Wiggins, who will also soon take over operations of the Huddle House in Alma. “As a multi-unit owner, I’m always looking for opportune ways to scale our business. Opening the Reidsville location perfectly aligns with our growth goals, and we’re filling the community’s need for a go-to dining spot with hearty, homestyle meals. My team’s operational expertise will surely have a tremendous impact on our store’s performance, and we look forward to further developing with Huddle House as the brand expands throughout Georgia.”

Wiggins is a tried-and-true expert in the franchising industry, with decades of experience owning and operating a diverse portfolio of franchise concepts. After college, Wiggins joined his father and worked alongside him to grow his franchise count which included two Huddle House locations. When his father sold his franchises, Wiggins started his own management organization, and today, he owns 13 franchises across a range of industries including Huddle House restaurants. Continuing the family legacy, Wiggins works alongside his wife, Pam and son, Trey Wiggins III, who is the co-owner of the Reidsville and Alma locations, to run his businesses. Together, they enjoy running their operations while continuing to expand their development knowledge to further assist brands in achieving exponential growth.

“The Wiggins family is instrumental in the brand’s expansion across Georgia. Their expertise in operations and business development has been incredible for our growth, especially in communities like Reidsville and Alma,” says Peter Ortiz, Chief Development Officer of Huddle House. “For generational multi-unit owners like the Wiggins, it’s heartwarming to see how Huddle House can play a strong role in a family’s wealth and livelihood for decades.

Currently, Huddle House has more than 300 locations open or in development. Thanks to record-breaking franchise growth, added virtual concepts and technological advancements, Ascent Hospitality Management, the brands’ parent company, revealed a monumental end to its fiscal year. Collectively, the most notable developments include adding 32 new franchise agreements, along with seven existing franchisees building on their current portfolios and driving Huddle House and Perkins’ expansion across nine states.
