MOZO Shoes, the premium footwear company for professionals, a division of Deckers Outdoor Corporation, is excited to announce a collaboration with the acclaimed chef Cat Cora, host of Bravo’s new series Around the World in 80 Plates.

As MOZO expands its women’s line, Cora will be serving as the collaborative designer and consultant for a collection inspired by her and set to debut in 2013. The chef, restaurateur, humanitarian, author, and TV personality will be working with MOZO designers to design styles that both mirror her cooking sentiments–bold, bright, and fun–and meet her standards of comfort and durability.

Cora is the first female chef with whom MOZO has collaborated. The company is currently partnered with Marcus Samuelsson, Chris Cosentino, and Aarón Sánchez on its MOZO Chef Signature Series, which launched with much success in June, 2011.

“Our partnership with Cat addresses a need for the female home cook who wants to be comfortable while cooking in her own home but who also wants her shoes to be stylish and multi-purposed,” says MOZO brand President Jeff Bua. “We are thrilled to have Cat Cora’s style, creativity, and hard-earned expertise in what is a very exciting next step for MOZO.”

For Cora, the opportunity to design footwear had personal appeal.

“I am constantly on my feet as both a chef and a mother of four,” she says. “I wear MOZOs in the kitchen for their durability and cushioning, so the opportunity to take MOZO’s quality design principles and translate them into everyday style for women like me is really exciting!”
