Mountain Mike’s Pizza, LLC, a leading California-based, family-style pizza chain, whose 200 units are located predominately in Central and Northern California, announced it has signed an area development agreement in Southern California. The development agreement expands the brand’s presence in the Inland Empire as it will add more than 40 units over the next seven to ten years in primarily Riverside County as well as a portion of San Bernardino County. The first of three new restaurants in Riverside County will be Moreno Valley, slated to open late July, followed by locations in both Perris and Menifee. The brand, currently celebrating its 40th year in business, has eight restaurants throughout Southern California in Inland Empire, Orange and San Diego counties.
“My team and I are thrilled to have secured the Mountain Mike’s Pizza development rights for both Riverside County and parts of San Bernardino County. We can’t wait to bring the Mountain Mike’s Pizza brand to the communities of the Inland Empire,” says Robby Basati, a long-time Mountain Mike’s multi-unit franchisee (he currently owns five Mountain Mike’s restaurants in Central California and one in Southern California). “I’ve been a franchisee with Mountain Mike’s for 11 years now so I know there is huge growth potential for our family-friendly pizza concept in Southern California. When the chance was presented to extend our brand commitment as a development agent in Riverside County and a portion of San Bernardino County, I immediately recognized it as a business opportunity I couldn’t pass up. My team and I plan to open at least 4-5 locations each year; we couldn’t be prouder to spearhead our growth in these markets.”
Known for its welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere, community involvement, and fresh, high-quality ingredients, including real whole milk mozzarella cheese and fan favorite curly and crispy mini pepperonis, the signature Mountain Mike’s experience of enjoying “Pizza the Way it Oughta Be!” will soon be available to even more pizza lovers, families, and communities across Southern California. The new restaurants will feature an updated store design complete with big screen TVs and a kids’ activity area with arcade games. These features make it the ideal spot for sports teams, family gatherings, group fundraising events and private parties alike. Mountain Mike’s menu includes mouth-watering pizzas served on dough that’s prepared in-house daily, both boneless and bone-in wings, garlic sticks, jalapeño poppers, a robust all-you-can-eat salad bar, and a selection of beer and wine. Whether its dine-in, carry-out or delivery, guests can always count on Mountain Mike’s to deliver on freshness, quality and value.
“For 40 years, Mountain Mike’s has been a popular choice for families and, with the help of passionate and knowledgeable franchise leaders like Robby, we’re ready to introduce our beloved concept to more communities across the southland,” says Chris Britt and Ed St. Geme, co-CEOs and principal owners of Mountain Mike’s Pizza, LLC. “With a proven franchise business model that has been perfected over the past four decades, a standout menu, unique differentiators in family dining, and a sustainable area development strategy, Mountain Mike’s is primed for accelerated growth. We’re currently seeking experienced franchisees and development partners to join us during this exciting growth phase as we plan to achieve 300 units or more within the next four to five years.”
