The Melting Pot Restaurants Inc., a premier fondue restaurant and casual dining franchise, announced today that it is actively seeking franchise candidates to open a new restaurant in the Triad area, a region that includes Winston-Salem, Greensboro, and High Point, North Carolina. The Melting Pot has six locations in North Carolina, including an existing restaurant in northern Greensboro.

In honor of its 40th anniversary, The Melting Pot will offer new franchisees signing a franchise agreement 40 percent off the initial franchise fee—an $18,000 savings. This development incentive will be available through the end of the year. Additionally, the new Triad area franchisee will have the option to offer a menu line of fully cooked entrées made in-house to accelerate speed of service and drive incremental business.

“The Triad area represents a great opportunity for our brand as it’s a dynamic market with enormous potential for growth,” says Dan Stone, chief business and people development officer for Front Burner Brands. “We look forward to building our presence in the market with a qualified candidate who shares the same passion for The Melting Pot as we do.”

The Melting Pot’s existing Greensboro restaurant, which opened in 1998, will eventually close its doors as it will be replaced with a new, larger location in the market as part of the company’s expansion plans.

“Our Greensboro location has performed well over the years, but we’ve outgrown the existing space and trade areas within the market have shifted since the 1990s,” Stone says. “We plan to open up a larger, more modern restaurant in its place in a prime retail hub within the Triad area to better serve our guests.”

The Melting Pot operates more than 130 restaurants across 35 U.S. states, Canada, Mexico, and Southeast Asia, and has more than 20 locations in development internationally. The concept is known for offering an assortment of flavorful fondue cooking styles and a variety of unique entrées served with signature dipping sauces. The menu features a variety of à la carte selections, highlighting customizable options that invite guests to enjoy one, two, three, or more courses as they select any combination of individually-priced cheese fondues, salads, entrées and chocolate fondues.

To further fuel its development plans in the Triad area and nationwide, the company is actively seeking qualified franchisees and will host a franchising webinar on Thursday, June 25 at 11 a.m. (EDT).

The Melting Pot is seeking entrepreneurs with business backgrounds and/or preferably restaurant experience who are passionate about the brand and want to be their own bosses.
