The Melting Pot Restaurants, Inc., the world’s premier fondue restaurant and a leading polished casual dining franchise, announced the new ownership and reopening of its Louisville, Kentucky, location at 2045 S. Hurstbourne Parkway. The Louisville location has been operating under the guidance and leadership of longtime Melting Pot manager and recent franchisee, Dave Chantrell, since December 2016.

“I am thrilled for the opportunity to continue to offer a unique dining experience in the Louisville market,” says Dave Chantrell, owner of The Melting Pot of Louisville. “My time with the brand—from server to manager and now owner—has afforded me great experience and I’m excited to parlay that knowledge into spearheading the success of another location. The team and I are looking forward to serving Louisville guests for many years to come.”

Chantrell, a native of Virginia, started his career at The Melting Pot as a server at the Charlottesville, Virginia, location. After attending The University of Virginia and working as a chemical engineer, the entrepreneur decided that he enjoyed customer service more than engineering and made the decision to return to The Melting Pot, this time at the Richmond location. He eventually worked his way up to becoming General Manager, and in 2016 he purchased the Richmond location.

“We are incredibly excited to have a longtime team member like Dave at the helm of the Louisville location,” said Dan Stone, chief business & people development officer at Front Burner, the management company of The Melting Pot. “The Melting Pot brand remains strong and relevant and we’re confident that the Louisville location will thrive under its new franchisee leadership team. It’s also rewarding to see Dave’s progression within The Melting Pot system, from server to manager, to franchise owner, to a multi-unit owner.”

To catapult the brand’s expansion efforts nationwide, the concept will be hosting a complimentary informational franchise webinar on Thursday, April 20 at 11 a.m. to educate qualified candidates. The Melting Pot operates more than 125 restaurants across 35 U.S. states, Canada, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. The concept is known for offering an assortment of flavorful fondue cooking styles and a variety of unique entrées served with signature dipping sauces. The menu features a variety of à la carte selections, highlighting customizable options that invite guests to enjoy one, two, three or more courses as they select any combination of individually-priced cheese fondues, salads, entrées and chocolate fondues.
