Max’s Wine Dive, with locations throughout Texas in Houston, San Antonio, Austin, and Dallas, will begin serving gluten friendly Fried Chicken on Saturday, July 6 for guests to enjoy in time for National Fried Chicken Day.

The idea for the gluten friendly Fried Chicken came from Jerry Lasco, president of Lasco Enterprises, who has Celiac disease. He wants guests to who also have Celiac disease or who are following a gluten-friendly lifestyle to be able to enjoy Max’s famous friend chicken alongside their dining companions. Max’s has been recognized as serving one of the country’s best versions of this classic comfort food dish – and the new gluten friendly version is just as delicious as the original.

Max’s gluten friendly Fried Chicken is made with a blend of gluten free flour and dried cauliflower fibers, which create a fried-like coating, and is served with mashed potatoes and collard greens. In order to maintain a high level of quality, the gluten friendly Fried Chicken is fried in a separate fryer and prepared in an independent area, where exposure to gluten is less likely to occur.
