On January 31, Maui Brewing Company will open its doors in the space at 2300 Kalakaua Avenue in Waikiki at the Holiday Inn Resort Waikiki Beachcomber, offering Oahu visitors and locals island-inspired dishes and locally brewed craft beers from Maui.

Maui Brewing Company worked with renowned firm WCIT on the multi-million dollar renovation to blend the heritage of craft brewing with the rich culture of Hawaii into a unique “craft industrial” design. The 435-seat, 18,000 square-foot restaurant will feature a 70-foot tall kinetic wall on the outer façade of the building, the first of its kind in the State.

Maui Brewing Company owners, Garrett Marrero and Melanie Oxley, are partnering with restaurateurs Chris Thibaut and Bill Terry, as they grow their restaurant business on Oahu, which will include a second Brewpub scheduled to open in Kailua’s newly redesigned Lau Hala Shops in 2018.

Chris Thibaut, president & CEO of Maui Brewing Co. Restaurants, says, “This has been a real passion project for all of us and I couldn’t be more excited for our opening. We’ve got a great management team and over 240 employees starting on the 19th who will really bring the concept to life and create the fun experience we’re all looking forward to.”

“I couldn’t be more excited about this project. Our team has assembled an amazing group of passionate individuals to bring the Maui Brewing Company experience to Oahu. We look forward to celebrating the global family of craft with everyone,” says Garrett Marrero.

Along with Maui Brewing Company’s four flagship beers, the restaurant will feature MBC beers previously only found at its Kihei brewery, including Pau Hana Pilsner, Wild Hog Nitro Stout, and Black Rock Lager to name a few.  Select beers from our Friends in Craft from across the country will round out the 36 taps centered in one of the largest bars in the state. Beers will also be available to purchase in crowlers and growlers, which can be responsibly enjoyed outside of the restaurant. Maui Brewing Company’s commitment to craft and fiercely local sourcing is carried throughout their food menu as well, which brings out the best in island inspired brewpub fare. Happy hour specials are available from 3pm to 6pm daily.

Maui Brewing Company Waikiki will be open 7 days a week from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Maui Brewing Company is a fiercely local company and has remained steadfast regarding local production. The MBC team are stewards of their communities and the ‘aina, and curators of the craft beer way of life. Their beers have been recognized worldwide for quality and innovation.
