On June 15, Matt Brigotti joined the Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) foodservice marketing team as Foodservice Promotions Director for the Northeast and Midwest, based in Richfield, OH. Brigotti will work closely with Tod Schmidt, the current regional Foodservice Promotion Director and 16-year veteran who will be retiring in October, and two other IPC foodservice promotion directors to transition to the IPC team. In his territory, he will lead marketing outreach to restaurant operators, distributors and produce specialists, as well as conduct Idaho potato product seminars and educational sessions, and represent the brand and industry at foodservice trade shows. “The Northeast and Midwest are high volume markets for Idaho Potatoes,” says Don Odiorne, IPC Vice President-Foodservice. “We’re delighted to welcome Matt to the team, and look forward to adding his front-line account management, and operations, sales and service background to our resources and capabilities.”

Brigotti brings over 17 years of sales, marketing and promotion, and management expertise to his new position.  Starting his career as President of the New York Spaghetti House in Cleveland OH, he turned around an aging restaurant, bringing it into the 21st century and restoring its popularity and profitability. Leaving operations for distribution, he worked as a marketing associate for Sysco Food Service.  Moving into produce sales and distribution, Brigotti spent 10 years representing produce giant Taylor Farms, managing the McDonalds and US Foods accounts, before setting his sights on the IPC Foodservice Promotion Director job.

Brigotti holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications & Business Administration from Ashland University, Ashland, Ohio.
