Margaritaville Opens First Texas Location in San Antonio

Earlier this week, Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville celebrated the grand opening of its first Texas location. Located on the Historic River Walk in San Antonio, the 315-seat restaurant brought together the Margaritaville and International Meal Company executive teams, along with members of the local community, for a ribbon-cutting ceremony and signature margarita toast.

“We are excited to bring the Margaritaville escapism to Texas for the first time ever,” says David Crabtree, president and CEO for International Meal Company U.S. “Margaritaville is synonymous with great food, family fun, and live entertainment, and we look forward to continuing that legacy in San Antonio.”

Margaritaville offers a family-friendly dining experience combined with tropical-inspired dishes, live nightly entertainment, and an expansive retail space. The restaurant offers multiple dining options, including a covered, outdoor ‘5 o’Clock Somewhere’ bar overlooking the river and an elevated indoor tiki bar. The Margaritaville menu includes house-made margaritas, frozen boat drinks, and LandShark Lager, along with signature food items like the Cheeseburger in Paradise and Volcano Nachos.

“We are thrilled to open this great venue located in the heart of San Antonio on the Historic Riverwalk,” says Jim Wiseman, president of development for Margaritaville. “As we officially bring the Margaritaville lifestyle to Texas, our hospitality pipeline continues to expand domestically and beyond, with resorts underway in Orlando and Grand Cayman. Margaritaville continues to grow with great places to dine, shop, stay, work, and play, with more announcements of new restaurants and resorts in paradise coming soon.”
