Management Moves: Yacyshyn, Contacessi, Schwartz


For over 20 years, The Alicart Restaurant Group has been offering exciting and unique dining concepts to New Yorkers including family-style Italian at Carmine’s and original BBQ at Virgil’s Real Barbecue. The group has announced three new executive appointments:   

Carmine’s (Upper West Side): James Yacyshyn has been promoted to the position of general manager at Carmine’s on the Upper West Side.  He was formerly the AGM of the Carmine’s in Times Square. 

Carmine's (Times Square): Mario Contacessi has been named the new general manager of the Carmine’s on 44th Street.  He had previously worked as the general manager at Virgil's and Carmine's on the Upper West Side. 

Virgil'sReal Barbecue: Abbey Paul Schwartz will join The Alicart Restaurant Group as the new general manager of Virgil's. Abbey had previously worked at high-volume restaurants including Union Square’s Rosa Mexicano and Houston's.
