This Thursday, March 26, from noon to 5 p.m., Maggie McFly’s and Freshpoint (Hartford, CT) are teaming are to bring the communities’ of both Middlebury and Manchester, CT, “Essentials Kits” to help aid in keeping our areas well-fed and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Not only are we currently facing a health crisis as most of us never seen have before, but our communities are also facing a financial crisis. With so many out of work, and funds in such short supply - we want to do whatever we can to help lessen the burden until conditions and lives can return to a more normal state,” says Ray Harper, Maggie McFly’s founder and owner.
Tony Delgado, District Sales Manager of Freshpoint - North America’s largest wholly owned produce distributor, says, “We are happy to partner together with Maggie McFly’s to help support our communities during this difficult time.”
“Essentials Kits” will be filled with products donated by Freshpoint, PEPSICO, Pepsi Cola of Bristol, TriMark, Protopac and Maggie McFly’s. Kits will include various items including; vegetables, fruit, dairy items, beverages, etc.
All are welcome. No purchase necessary. Distribution limit one kit per family. Maggie McFly’s volunteers will be handing out kits in a drive-thru fashion to limit contact.
Kits will be distributed as-is, no substitutions, exchanges or returns.
