This August, Troy Guard’s Celebrity Chef Taco Series welcomes Chef Johnny Curiel from Crown Restaurant Group. Chef Curiel presents his take on the taco, the Sweet Potato Taco. The Sweet Potato Taco features agave roasted sweet potato, salsa macha, crispy garlic, queso fresco, scallions, cilantro and lime on a warm corn tortilla ($6.50). Chef Curiel’s Sweet Potato Taco will be available August 8-21, 2022.
TAG Restaurant Group (TRG) Guard, kicked off this exciting series in January 2022 with his mission to raise funds to help the communities affected by the devastating January Marshall Fires with a fundraising program benefiting Boulder Community Foundation. He wanted to give other Colorado chefs the opportunity to get creative and raise funds for a charity near and dear to their hearts.
$1 of every taco goes towards Chef Curiel’s charity of choice, A Son Never Forgets, which is a non-profit organization built around the never-ending relationship that a son has with his father and mother. The organization focuses on impacting youth with positive messages about health, wellness, and the importance of education.
Los Chingones’ continues their Celebrity Chef Taco Series, with proceeds from each Taco benefitting a cause chosen by that month’s guest chef. Read below for details on the next Celebrity Chef.
