Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants to Bring Aba to Florida in 2022

Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants is excited to bring Aba to Bal Harbour Shops in Early Summer 2022. From Top Chef Alum CJ Jacobson and Executive Partner Marc Jacobs, Aba is a Mediterranean restaurant with a California-influence, known for its mezze-style menu. This will be the third location for Aba, with the first in Chicago’s Fulton Market and the second in Austin, TX. Aba at Bal Harbour Shops will mark the first Florida restaurant for Lettuce. 

As we celebrate our 50th year in business, we are thrilled to be opening our first restaurant in Florida, especially in a place like Bal Harbour Shops - an iconic destination and community in South Florida,” says R.J. Melman, President, Lettuce Entertain You. 

The menu will incorporate flavors and inspiration from Israel, Lebanon, Turkey and Greece combined with Chef CJ’s roots in California. The lighter style of cooking is showcased in dishes like Sugar Snap & English Peas with whipped tahini, Hamachi with charred avocado, Whipped Feta Spread and Grilled Cauliflower Kebabs. Other signature dishes include Muhammara, The Everything Jerusalem Bagel with smoked salmon spread and Crispy Short Rib Hummus with House-made Bread.

The bar program was created by Lead Mixologist Liz Pearce and is an extension of the cuisine, incorporating ingredients and flavors from the Mediterranean and Southern California. The wine list features unique selections from across the Mediterranean favoring winemakers that utilize sustainable, organic and/or biodynamic growing practices.

Aba has been named one of “Chicago’s Best New Restaurants” by the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Magazine, one of the “Most Beautiful Chicago Restaurants” by Eater Chicago, was a nominee for 'Best New Restaurant' by Austin Chronicle and was a nominee for Boutique Design’s “Gold Key Award for Excellence in Hospitality Design.”
