LaRosa’s, Inc., officially opened Louisville’s first LaRosa’s Family Pizzeria in Springhurst, at 10641 Fischer Park Drive. Located at the site of the former O’Charley’s off Westport Road near the Gene Snyder Freeway, alongside a recently opened First Watch, LaRosa’s welcomed the community earlier today with Guests in line around the building and an official ribbon cutting with LaRosa’s executives along with local Louisville officials. The first two hundred Guests received LaRosa’s swag bags, with the first fifty Guests receiving free pizza for a year.

“The excitement around bringing LaRosa’s to Louisville has been overwhelming; we’ve heard from so many people how they’ve experienced LaRosa’s in Lexington or Cincinnati, or at Reds game or Kings Island, and how much they wanted their own LaRosa’s right here in Louisville” says Michael LaRosa, CEO of LaRosa’s, Inc. and son of founder Buddy LaRosa. “Our famous family recipes transcend geographic borders – that’s clear. We can’t wait to be a part of making memories in Louisville”, said LaRosa. True to its legendary commitment to the local communities it serves, LaRosa’s contributed $2,000. to Louisville’s Dare to Care Food Bank, the proceeds of its pre-opening friends and family event. Dare to Care Food Bank serves children in a 13-county area through its school programs, kids café and summer meals for kids.

The 3,773-square-foot LaRosa’s Springhurst full-service pizzeria includes dine-in, drive-up/pick-up and delivery of its family recipe pizzas and other Italian favorites. For dine in, the 96- seat dining room is enhanced by a covered patio which serves 44 guests.

LaRosa’s Springhurst serves a full menu of beer, wine and mixed drinks – and features a special “Bourbon Slush”, recognizing the popularity of Bourbon and its importance to the Kentucky economy.  LaRosa’s is famous for its family recipe pizza. Founder Buddy LaRosa used his Aunt Dena’s pizza recipe when starting his first pizzeria in 1954. Nearly 70 years later, they still use the same recipe. LaRosa’s menu of over 40 selections includes appetizers, calzones, hoagys, salads and pastas for dine in, pick up or delivery in the neighborhood.
